Job requests from clients are placed
on the Web.
|
|
Specialists peruse job
offers placed on the Web and the details of job requests
sent to them by clients.
|
|
Specialists able to meet
a client's requirements respond to the client on the
Web.
|
|
The client and specialists
verify conditions with each other over the Web. The
client then chooses a specialist.
|
|
Agreement is reached. The specialist
carries out the job.
|
|
The client pays the fee agreed on with
the specialist, through C-NAVI.
|
|
|
If you register for this service, you will be asked to enter details
of your experience, areas of expertise, desired job conditions and
other information in a database accessible to clients. Clients themselves
will search the database and choose specialists they believe will
meet their requirements. (Only information relevant to the client's
job requirements will be made available.)
You will also be able to peruse lists of job conditions and requirements
registered by clients, and offer your services for jobs that appear
to match your skills and conditions.
C-NAVI will advise on all matters until agreement is reached between
client and specialist. C-NAVI takes no responsibility for matters
arising after agreement. Clients and specialists are free to negotiate
directly on fees.
*Instead of the brokerage fee normally charged for intermediary
services, payment for C-NAVI services is 5% of the fee that the
client agrees to pay the specialist on formal mutual acceptance
of conditions.
*When the client and specialist have agreed on conditions, the C-NAVI
office will send the interpreter or translator an Agreement Note.
On completion of the job, please obtain the client's seal on the
Agreement Note as verification, and return the Note to the C-NAVI
office by fax or post. This Note will
confirm completion of the job.
A Registration Fee
is free on registering for the Web Matching Service.

|
Completion of the job.

| Note to Interpreters |
As professional interpreters, you are no doubt aware
of the importance of professionalism in your work. To help all interpreters
achieve the highest standards, we take the liberty of listing a few
of the most important areas that require particular care.
| Punctuality |
Please be at the venue 30 minutes before work begins (or before
the start of preliminary meetings). |
Greeting
Clients |
Whether you are meeting the client in a preliminary meeting,
or for the first time at the job venue, please be sure to introduce
yourself to the client or the client's representative. Let the
client be aware that you are ready at any time to provide services
of a professional standard, and otherwise endeavor to build
a mutual sense of trust. |
| Attire |
The appropriate type of clothing will depend on the location.
However, always bear in mind the importance of proper attire
in presenting a professional image. |
| Teamwork |
If interpreting duties are to be performed as a team, please
be sure there is good communication between all interpreters
beforehand, for division of duties, etc. |
| Materials |
If you are negotiating directly over the Web with the client
or the client's representative, maintain good communication
and endeavor to gain a thorough understanding of the job, using
whatever materials can be obtained in advance. |
| If the job request comes from the C-NAVI office, C-NAVI will
obtain the necessary materials and forward them to the interpreter. |
| Confidentiality |
Please maintain the confidentiality of any information obtained
while working. On completion of the job, either destroy any
confidential materials or return them to the client. |
Notifying
Completion |
On completion of the job, please notify the C-NAVI office
as soon as possible
(using the Agreement Note). |
|
Together, interpreters, translators and C-NAVI can provide
clients with services of even greater satisfaction and convenience.
| Note to Translators |

to your areas of expertise as experienced and professional translation
specialists. In all cases, please make every effort to meet delivery
deadlines. Be prepared to meet with the client, and to work in line
